Stop Signs & Traffic

A reminder to please stop at all stop signs and follow other road signs throughout our neighborhood. Rolling stops or not stopping at all continues to be a problem at the blinking 4-way stop. (Forest & Timber Ridge Roads).  There have also been some very close calls between cars and snowmobiles at the bearskin trail. The snowmobiles are supposed to stop, but cars still need to slow down and exercise caution.  We have recently installed new reflective "Caution Trail Crossing" signs to remind TRPOA residents as well as alert visitors to the neighborhood.  Thanks for your cooperation and attention to this matter.

Master Road Plan

Barking Dogs

The board has received numerous complaints concerning barking dogs during the overnight hours.
Minocqua Ordinance Article II Sec 5-20 states:
"It is unlawful for any person knowingly to keep or harbor any dog which habitually barks, howls, or yelps, to the great discomfort of the peace & quiet of the neighborhood, or in such manner as to materially disturb or annoy persons in the neighborhood who are of ordinary sensibilities. Such dogs are declared to be a public nuisance."  There is no ordinance for the Town of Hazelhurst.  Please be respectful of your neighbors and keep your dogs quiet or indoors, especially after dark.  If you have a problem, please contact the property owner directly, and if the matter is not resolved, then you need to contact the police.

Pedestrian Safety

A friendly reminder to be cautious for pedestrians when driving in Timber Ridge. Pedestrians also need to follow proper safety rules of the road.  Wisconsin DOT Pedestrian Rules state the following:

1)Yield to drivers when crossing a road where there is no intersection or crosswalk.

2)Do not suddenly move into the path of a closely approaching vehicle that does not have sufficient time to yield for a pedestrian.

3) Pedestrians must walk on and along the left side of a roadway (TOWARDS TRAFFIC).

Thanks for helping keep our neighborhood a safe place to walk!
